Success is an individual thing. Some people are more materialistic, while others are content with simple possessions and simple living. For me, I will consider myself successful if I am able to contribute to society in a positive way. I am not yet sure how I will do that, but i am confident that something will emerge. Above all, I want to life a meaningful life, and help others do the same.
Success has to be defined on an individual basis, because each person wants something else with their life. My definition of success is doing what you love in life, regardless of whether or not you become financially wealthy doing it.

It can not be determined by one person because everyone has a different interpretation of what they find successful. Basically, its getting to where you want to be, whether you love it or not.

In my mind, success is being able to accomplish something, whether it be big or small. Whether you finished a hard project or won a Nobel Peace Prize, if you feel accomplished and that you have gained something from that experience, then you are successful.
Success is prosperity as well as getting your dreams recognized. Success usually deals with having a lot of money and being able to have all the things you want material wise, but it is also having the chance to say that you got that promotion or your doing the thing you love. Success could also be having good relationships with your parents or family.
